My name is Mrs. Aloko Grâce. My husband and I are parents of four children, originally from Benin. When we arrived in Togo, we were looking for ways to keep the children busy. Since music is a family hobby, our wish was for the children to enjoy it in a more enjoyable way. This is how we started with private lessons for our two daughters Kérène and Élisheva, although these were not successful. On June 19, 2022, while browsing my Facebook account, I discovered an ad with the title: MUSICAL HOLIDAYS. Being interested, I contacted the Director, with whom I had a very warm exchange. The next day, the children and I went to meet him. And, during the interview, I made him understand that my husband and I wanted better musical development for our children. In the same exchange, I clearly mentioned the fact that my eldest daughter doesn't like reading notes. Hearing this statement, he said to my daughter: "It's very easy! In five minutes I can teach you how to read notes." A statement I found rather unrealistic. Then, to my great surprise, he actually taught her how to read notes by hand. Because of this demonstration, I was won over. Afterwards, I wanted to choose the instruments instead of the children. But Mr. Yves advised me not to do so. Kérène, Élisheva, and Samuel therefore chose piano, violin, and drums respectively. Before we parted ways, I was informed that the program was not only for the vacation period, but that it extended throughout the year. There was reason to be delighted! The children officially started lessons on June 5, 2022. After a month, they were playing their instruments. My daughter Kérène was also playing and reading the notes. By closely observing the progress of their learning, Mr. Yves surprised me again by noticing that Kérène suffers from glossophobia, also called fear of the public, something I already knew. In December, Kérène participated in a musical competition with the encouragement of Mr. Yves. At the end of the competition, we were very happy when she obtained 3rd place at the intermediate level. A result that no one expected. This is when we made the decision to integrate our last son Jordan, who has been taking awakening classes since January 2023. While being convinced that the adventure has only just begun, we would like to express our thanks to the instructors, who pass on their knowledge to our children with great dedication. Last but not least, thank you to all the actors of this great and brilliant OPUS ACADEMY concept.
